This page explains what our warranties cover, what they don’t, how quickly we respond if something needs attention, and what happens if you sell the property.
What is Covered?
You get two written warranties and also receive a written warranty certificate that stays with the home if you ever sell.
Product warranty covers
This covers the fencing materials supplied as part of your job, such as:
- timber posts, rails, palings, capping and plinth boards
- Colorbond steel panels and components
- fixings and fasteners used as part of the build
- gates and gate hardware
Product warranty coverage is based on the specific product used on your job and the supplier/manufacturer terms. Your warranty paperwork provided with the job outlines what applies.
Workmanship warranty covers
This covers the quality of the installation, including:
- correct fence set-out and alignment
- posts set securely for stability
- rails and palings/panels fixed correctly
- gates fitted and hung correctly
If something needs a small adjustment after install (for example, a gate that needs a tweak), that is handled through aftercare.
What is Not Covered?
To keep it simple, warranty does not cover damage or issues caused by things outside the fence build and install, including:
- storm, flood, impact, vehicle damage, falling trees, or third-party damage
- ground movement, subsidence, retaining wall failure, or changes in site conditions
- any alterations after install by others, including DIY changes or other contractors
- normal weathering and ageing (for example timber movement over time, or general fading)
- issues caused by lack of basic maintenance
Typical response times
If you have a concern after installation, we’ll be back within 48 hours to inspect it and, if required, fix it.
What you can expect:
- You contact us with your address and a quick description of what’s going on
- We lock in a time to come out and inspect
- We fix it on the spot where possible, or explain the next step if something needs ordering
- We close it out once the concern is resolved
If conditions make it unsafe to attend (for example severe weather), we will book the earliest safe time and keep you updated.
Transferability
Your written warranty certificate stays with the home, so it can be passed on to the next owner if you sell.
How it works in practice:
- keep the warranty paperwork with your house documents
- if the property is sold, the new owner keeps that paperwork
- the warranty applies to covered issues within the warranty period shown on the certificate
